University is finally starting soon. So what happened in the past 7 months?
I went to Taipei, a country that I don’t even know why I visited. The Taiwan’s capital has so many things to enjoy; delicious street food, endless shopping and nature’s beauties at its backyard.
I went backpacking to Bangkok, Thailand and got a chance to see the people united to choose their King over politics. A metropolitan city with culture so strong, you can still witness a glimpse of ancient structures in the midst of globalisation.
Then I continued from Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia, for the first time crossing borders on foot. A real backpacking experience with other people of the same traveling passion, sharing experience and making new friends.
In Siem Reap, I saw what’s left from a 10th century Kingdom, a complex I’ve never seen before. Angkor Wat, one of the world heritage sites.
Then to Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, a city with tragic history, evident from the way it is now.
I had short visits to few of Indonesia’s cities; Bali, Palembang, Bintan and others nearby my hometown, Medan.
I went to Thailand’s tourist island of Phuket. I had the most fun with my family watching FantaSea and saw the amazing limestone cliff formations of Phang Nga Bay.
I went backpacking to Penang, Malaysia, and visited the beautiful George Town, another world heritage site.
Then made a trip to Cameron Highlands while in Malaysia, and saw the most spectacular view of tea plantation. I’ve never seen a tea plantation so beautiful.
For the rest of the year starting next week, I can’t allow myself to be distracted for something I can do later in life.
Education comes first.
