Day 2: 1 day @ Penang, Malaysia

I reached Butterworth at 5:25am. The train crew alerted those who were stopping at the station 10 minutes before reaching. Sleeping on sleeper train was not an entirely nice experience but still worth it (No money spent on hotels). I’m a light sleeper, so the sound and shaky train woke me up a lot of times. World Heritage of George Town, Penang

Visiting UNESCO heritage sites is probably one of my goals in life. (I’m not making this up. They really do fascinate me.) George Town in Penang was definitely fascinating and beautiful. We cycled around the area, stopping at the different street arts at random places. I got to absorb the ambience of the place and could imagine people in the old days lived in the town; Chinese merchants, the local Malays and British that walked the streets. Day 1: 5 Hours in Kuala Lumpur

I’m going on a 5-day trip around Malaysia, from Kuala Lumpur to Penang and then Cameron Highland. Train tickets, apartments, coaches and my flight ticket back to Singapore are already booked. Itinerary for the whole trip is planned with a lot of landmark visits and food hunting. I have five friends who are going with me on this very exciting trip!
