Miniature Effect

I am sure that the camera I used to take this picture does not have the miniature effect on it. But the picture from the tower nearby the old town of Warsaw looks like it was taken right from a miniature set on a table. The people walking by the roadside and the cars are as if they are intentionally arranged to create the realistic shadow effects by their sides.

There is also something about the architecture and the colours of the building that is pleasing to my eyes.

It’s the Peacock House

I am aware that walking tours might not give out accurate information to gullible tourists. I was wondering why there are carvings of animals on buildings around Cracow’s old town. It was highlighted by the guide that when the number system had not been adopted for one’s residence or address, properties in the old days had carvings of animals or other objects on top of the doors or at the front of the buildings. Can you imagine looking for someone’s house and the neighbours say, “Oh, it’s the house with a tiger.”
