I wanted to climb Mount Merapi with my friends, but the area was closed due to an accident at the crater. Lava Tour was the closest to exploring Merapi, the active volcano in Jogjakarta.
There was a competition between the Hindus and the Buddhists in the 8th century Java. Believers wanted to build the best temples to honour their Gods. It resulted in two beautiful ancient structures in Indonesia, Prambanan and Borobudur temples.
Borobudur is the third UNESCO World Heritage that I have featured on this blog. My fascination on the world heritage made the World Heritage List (WHL) a major bucket list. I want to see every single site and learn about so many things. Continue reading “Borobudur (Photo Journal)”

I asked people at the hotel and restaurant, even ojek drivers and street stall vendors about what to see in Banyuwangi. Every one of them told me to hike Ijen volcano, which I did yesterday.
